The organizers of Prague's largest cultural event, Metronome Prague, are introducing a new project: Moon Series promises a year-round offering of diverse musical experiences for fans who love to discover and rediscover. The first concert of this year-long series will be the legendary Morcheeba, who will celebrate 30 years on stage in Prague this October.
Just as the moon goes through different phases, this brand-new concert series aims to introduce listeners to a wide range of musical genres and artists. From intimate club performances to spectacular shows in the largest arenas in the Czech Republic, the Metronome Moon Series will gradually bring music for every mood and occasion. “We greatly appreciate the support of the thousands of fans and visitors of Metronome Prague, which has made us the largest metropolitan cultural event. However, we want to provide extraordinary experiences throughout the entire year, which is why we are launching the Moon Series. We want the Metronome brand to be synonymous with quality that can be enjoyed more than just three days a year,” says David Gaydečka, one of the project’s founders.
The concert series will feature a variety of musical genres and artists who have shaped the music scene over the past decades—from rediscovered icons to contemporary music stars. The genre diversity will span rock, indie rock, indie pop, jazz rock, soul, funk, electronic music, and more.
“Our Moon Series project is not just aimed at the Prague audience; we also want to bring our stars to other regions,” adds co-founder David Šindelář, who previously worked as a creative producer for the Colours of Ostrava festival. The first Moon Series concert will be Morcheeba, who will celebrate 30 years on stage in Prague this October. Further artist announcements will follow soon. The organizers also promise various benefits for their loyal fans. Visitors of this year’s and previous editions of Metronome Prague, for instance, will have priority access to purchasing Early Bird tickets for upcoming concerts. More updates and announcements will be shared on the project’s website and existing social media channels.
